SUMMARY:Hanover After Dark: Four Haunted Locations\, One Night
DESCRIPTION:𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.\n𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲\, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟕\, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫\, 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 \n𝐶𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑓 ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦. 𝐶𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠. 𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑢𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑. \nFor nearly 300 years\, the buildings surrounding Hanover Courthouse have witnessed the lives of countless individuals. Travellers and tavern keepers. Prisoners and judges. Soldiers\, families\, and ordinary people whose names have largely faded from memory. \n𝐵𝑢𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑑? \nOn November 7\, join Transcend Paranormal & Miller Paranormal for an extraordinary evening exploring four historic locations in one investigation: Hanover Tavern\, the Old Stone Jail\, the Historic Hanover Courthouse\, and the Hanover Branch Library. \nTogether\, we’ll explore the history of these buildings\, examine reports of unexplained activity\, and invite you to conduct your own investigation alongside experienced paranormal investigators. \nWhether you’re a seasoned investigator\, a curious skeptic\, or someone simply fascinated by history\, you’re welcome to join us. \n— \n𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. \n-> 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏 \nThe history of Hanover Tavern stretches back to 1733\, with the oldest surviving portion of the building dating to 1791. For generations\, this historic gathering place welcomed travellers\, politicians\, soldiers\, and local residents. Its history is intertwined with figures such as Patrick Henry\, George Washington\, and the Marquis de Lafayette. \nThe Tavern has witnessed the changing fortunes of a nation\, from the colonial period through the Civil War and beyond. \nToday\, visitors and investigators continue to share stories of unusual experiences within its walls. \nCould some of the Tavern’s former occupants still have stories to tell? \n -> 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒍𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑱𝒂𝒊𝒍 \nConstructed in 1835\, the Old Stone Jail offers a stark reminder of a very different era. \nIts thick stone walls enclosed cramped cells where prisoners endured harsh conditions. For decades\, barred openings offered little protection from the cold\, and the building housed people whose circumstances and stories were often far more complicated than the labels placed upon them. \nWhat was life like for those confined within these walls? What fears\, hopes\, and memories might have accompanied them? \nDuring our investigation\, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this remarkable building after dark. \n-> 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 \nDating to the late 1730s and early 1740s\, the Historic Hanover Courthouse is among the oldest surviving courthouses in the United States. \nWithin its walls\, Patrick Henry argued the famous Parsons’ Cause in 1763\, an important moment in the growing resistance to British authority. The courthouse also witnessed the upheaval of the Revolutionary War\, the Civil War\, and generations of local history. \nFor centuries\, decisions made here changed lives. \nAnd as we investigate the courtroom after dark\, we’ll ask a simple question: Could echoes of that history remain? \n-> 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒚 \nCompleted in 1942\, the Hanover Branch Library may be the youngest of our four locations\, but the land beneath it has a much older story. \nOnce associated with the Hanover Tavern property\, the grounds sit near the historic Thilman Burial Grounds\, the resting place of former Tavern owners and family members. \nThe Library reminds us that history doesn’t begin when a building is constructed. Sometimes\, the most interesting stories belong to the land itself. \nWhat might we discover within this quieter corner of historic Hanover? \n— \n𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬 \nThis is not a haunted house attraction or a scripted ghost tour. You’ll be part of the investigation. \nGuests will be divided into small groups and guided through the four locations by experienced paranormal investigators. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions\, use investigative equipment\, test ideas\, and examine any unusual experiences for yourself. \nWe encourage curiosity\, thoughtful investigation\, and an open mind. You don’t have to believe in ghosts to appreciate the experience\, and we welcome those who approach the paranormal with skepticism. \nMost importantly\, this evening is about more than the paranormal. \n— \n𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐭. \nThis special fundraising investigation directly benefits the Hanover Tavern Foundation\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to historic preservation\, restoration\, educational programming\, and community outreach. \n100% 𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐹𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. \nBy joining us\, you’re helping ensure that these remarkable places\, and the stories connected to them\, remain accessible to future generations. \n— \n𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone\, please review the following information: \n-> 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: You’re welcome to bring your own paranormal investigation equipment. Our investigators will also have equipment available for group use. A flashlight is strongly recommended. \n-> 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:Don’t have a dedicated recorder? Your cellphone works! We simply ask that you place it in silent mode while recording. \n-> 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: Please dress for the weather. We’ll be gathering outdoors and walking between buildings. Avoid loose jewelry or noisy clothing that might interfere with audio recordings.\nFragrances: Please refrain from wearing perfumes\, colognes\, or heavily scented products. Unexplained smells are among the experiences reported at these locations\, and we want to minimize potential interference. \n-> 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.\nSafety: Alcohol\, recreational drug use during the investigation\, and weapons of any kind are prohibited. Guests who appear impaired may be asked to leave. \n-> 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Bring your questions\, theories\, and curiosity! We encourage everyone to take an active role in the investigation. \nAbove all\, come ready to explore\, learn\, and enjoy an unforgettable evening in historic Hanover. \n𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.
